Skills Used
is a fictional beer brand based on the MBTI quiz, a popular test that sorts you (yes, YOU) into one of sixteen personality types.
SOLA
MBTI? More like MBT-YOU!
The MBTI assessment helps you identify your natural preferences and sorts you into one of 16 distinct MBTI personality types based on four dichotomies:
-
How do you direct and receive energy (Introversion vs Extroversion)
-
How do you take in information (Sensing vs Intuition)
-
How do you decide and come to conclusions (Feeling vs Thinking)
-
How do you approach the outside world (Judging vs Perceiving)
As a rabid quiz-taker, I've taken the MBTI test multiple times, and since I'm the best personality type (ENFP), I decided this would be a fun recipe for my brews.
-
and they've all got their very own special flavors.
There are sixteen different personalities,
The perfect palette pairs
Each personality type has distinct characteristics that define them, from loyal, to carefree, to imaginative, and everything between and beyond. I chose my colors very deliberately based on traits of that particular personality type.
Using the eight traits of MBTI as my basis, I divided the sixteen personality types into eight pairs. Each pair would share a color palette - two main colors and an accent color of sorts - but the colors would be used in different ways, like reversed versions of each other.
SOLA's logo and mark brings all 16 personality types full circle.
Literally.
('Sola' means sixteen in Hindi. I do have to admit I didn't reach very far for that one.)
